Porto Platanias Beach Resort & Spa is located on the beach of Platanias, one of the most colorful areas of Chania region, only at 10 kms from the picturesque town of Chania, at about 20 kms from Chania International Airport and a short drive from all major points of interest of Western Crete.
At a short walking distance (100 m to 500 m) there are shopping facilities, banks, pharmacy, Medical Care center, and an undetermined number of bars restaurants and other tourist facilities.

Accommodation: The hotel has been elegantly designed with comfortable accommodations and a wide range of facilities up to a good 5 star hotel. There are various room types: Standard doubles, Maisonettes, Family rooms, Family rooms with private pool, Apartments, Studios, Executive Suites and Suites with private pool all of which are fully air-conditioned, have balcony or terrace, bathroom/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, internet access (ISDN), direct dial telephone, safe, fridge with mini bar on request.
4 Restaurants: A full American breakfast buffet and dinner consisting in an extensive buffet composed from cold and hot appetizers, a large number of fresh and composed salads, cheese, local and international specialties, and a very attractive fruit and pastry buffet, are served in our main restaurant (long trousers requested during dinner time). Theme nights like the weekly Greek night take place occasionally in our roof garden. There are also 1 A la Carte Restaurant for Lunch around the pool area, by the pool Bar with a large variety of light dishes, 1 A la Carte Restaurant for theme nights (during the high season) and 1 large restaurant for gala dinners.
5 Bars: 1 Lobby Bar, 2 Pool Bars, 1 Beach Bar and the Roof Garden bar open for theme nights, all of which serve a variety of international brands and cocktails able to satisfy even the most demanding taste.
Pools: Guest can enjoy 5 large, fresh water swimming pools, with separate paddling pools for children, 1 indoor pool inside our Spa facilities, or our sandy beach in front of the hotel, all of them equipped with sun beds and umbrellas. At the pool area sun beds & umbrellas are free of charge and at the beach with extra fee.

a spacious bedroom featuring twin beds and a wooden partition separating it from the living room which features 2 sofa beds(a single & a double) and a terrace with a private pool with mountain or garden view.
Maisonettes (2/4 persons)-36 m2:
Split-level rooms comprising a living room with 2 sofa beds(a single &a double ) on the lower level and a twin-bedded room on the upper level communicating with each other by means of an internal wooden staircase. They feature a large marble bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub, as well as a balcony with pool view or garden view.
Apartments (2/4 persons)-45 m2:
Two-rooms apartments or maisonettes with bedroom and living room with 2 sofa beds, including multi-kitchenette fully equipped, and a fridge. They also feature a balcony or a terrace overlooking the garden, the pool or the sea.
Studios (2/3 persons)-30 m2:
One-room apartment, with multi-kitchenette fully equipped, and a fridge, overlooking the garden, the pool or the sea.
Standard Suites (2/4 persons)-50 m2:
A bedroom and separate living room with 2 sofa beds (single & double ) a mini stereo with CD player, sophisticated furniture and extra facilities. They feature a marble bathroom with Jacuzzi and Hydro Massage Bathtub, large balconies with sea view ,pool view or garden view.
Executive Suite (2/4 persons):
One comfortable suite in 50 m2 .It consists of one bedroom with king size bed a, dining room with fully equipped kitchenette and a living room with 2 convertible couches and a big balcony .It also has 2 luxurious marble bathrooms with hydro-massage & extra facilities as well as DVD player , CD player and extra services.
Presidential Suite (2/6 persons):
The biggest suite in 80 m2 .It consists of 2 bedrooms,one with king size bed a, dining room with fully equipped kitchenette and a living room with extinguished furniture ,2 couches and a big balcony .It also has 3 luxurious marble bathrooms , one with hydro-massage & extra facilities as well as DVD player , CD player and extra services.
Animation and Recreational Activities
Beach Volley, 2 playgrounds, Mini club (5-12 years old), Billiard, Table tennis can all contribute for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.
Animation: Our animation team offers you a variety of sports and fitness oriented activities as beach volleyball, boccia, water polo in the pool, pool games for children, water gym, aerobics, step etc.
Evening soft animation programmes with games.
Cretan Night: For the period in the middle and high season a Cretan night with a special buffet, folklore dances, and Greek and International music by our band, is offered weekly with a minimum extra charge. Musical evenings will be held occasionally throughout the season.
Local agents in the area provide other sport activities as Scuba diving, Water Skiing, Windsurfing, Mountain bikes, Boating, Sailing, etc…
Children facilities: Children’s pool, playground under parents supervision, Restaurant Baby chairs, Baby cots. Mini club open 4 hours a day. Babysitting available on request (one day in advance).
