The graphic village of Kalives is found in distance of 19 kilometres of Easterly Chania. It is located exactly on the beach and has proxy 1.289 permanent residents. It is a beautiful village, with old stone houses that mix with the most recent manufactures and they shape two separate neighbourhoods with characteristic islander colours. The river named Xydes that crosses the village, which gives a separate character and it refreshes the environment. It really deserves to visit the ruins of ancient city Ippokoronion in the hill Kasteli. In the square of the village you will see the traditional watermill that was manufactured in the beginning of 20th century, one from older the region.
