The seaside village of Loutro is situated at a distance of about 74 km south of Chania, at Sfakia province. The village was named after the springs found there, the water of which came from Anopoli village. Among the old buildings you may see here, you may also see the governor used in 1821 (during the revolution).From Loutro you can visit the ruins of ancient Aradenas the Byzantine church of Archangel Michael, and Anopolis. At this place, you will not find any big hotels with swimming pools, or busy streets, crowded restaurants or beaches, or even cars due to absence of no streets. It is a small, graphic fish village in the south western Crete, still not ruined by mass tourism. Discover the beautiful beaches around Loutro called Glika Nera, Marmara, Timios Stavros, and many more. You can reach Loutro either through the sea (Jet Ski, boat, ship) neither on foot through the mountains. Enjoy the sun, crystal clear waters and tranquillity.
