Gkilota is nowdays an integral part of the formal Cretan traditional outfit. It has almost completely replaced the old famous vrakes which left to be seen in the most special occasions.

In the West Crete, gkilotes is combined with gkileko, vrakes and jacket from the same fabric and shoes, tall boots up to knee. Colors and designed are different in each occasion.  

We use high-quality fabric, wool, cashmere, silk, English and Italian from specific orders, with strict selection and respecting the preservation of local nature. To achieve the correct result contributes handmade traditional art and construction on the gkilota absolutely personal measures, according to the specific nature of each body and not standardized to numbers with patterns etc … Also the traditional character dictates and imposes bodice, buttons and buttonholes entirely and prohibits Kompitsa and zipper.
In exactly the same philosophy, is the construction of stivania, the leather traditional boots, and the absolute measures of the foot and under any special features that, from calf leather, waterproof, face and lining goat.

Similarly, the highest quality materials, the correct anatomical and old like character and method of construction is preserved, but the possibility of construction of both, by the same craftsman, gives us the perfect traditional and aesthetic result. It is no coincidence that today made several boots, not only for traditional clothing, but also for everyday use.
