The Glika Nera (Sweet Water) beach is 75 kilometres far from Chania at the South coast of Crete and 4 km west of Sfakia.
It is a pebbly, very clean, and protected from the winds beach with fresh sweet waters, gushes from the earth and which owes its name.
Access from Chania is possible by bus or rented cars and motorcycles to Sfakia. Access from Chora Sfakion and Loutro village is by walking a quite difficult path and just simple take a boat.
