Palaeochora

Situated 79 kilometers far from Chania, at the Southwest coast of Crete, Palaeochora is a village with 2200 permanent residents. Built by the seaside on a small peninsula between two small bays, the village is the commercial, agricultural and tourist center of the area, and the capital of the Selinou province. Being at the south, the landscape is more exotic, with a clear blue sea, golden sand and palm trees here and there.

Within the village it is worth seeing the Venetian castle on a hill above the village.

Paleochora is by itself like a small island, you can find everything there. Locals from Chania always find the perfect reasons to escape for long weekends and enjoy themselves away from the city.
